EUROPEAN COMMISSION RESEARCH PROJECT:

“REINFORCING COOPERATION WITH EASTERN PARTNERSHIP COUNTRIES ON BRIDGING THE GAP BETWEEN RESEARCH AND INNOVATION FOR INCLUSIVE AND SECURE SOCIETIES" (SECURE-R21 CONSORTIUM AGREEMENT)

Redinet CJSC, in partnership with 12 research institutes, universities and companies from Luxembourg, Greece, Armenia, Georgia, Estonia, Belarus, Moldova, Ukraine was selected for the Project of the European Commission, and signed Consortium Agreement, as part of the Seventh Framework Programme of the European Community for Research, Technological Development and Demonstration Activities under the funding scheme of “Collaborative Project” under the Seventh Framework Programme and for the dissemination of research results (2007-2013).

Within the project Redinet CJSC, in partnership with the Institute of Physical Research of the National Academy of Sciences (IPR-NAS), will implement a Pilot project in Armenia: “Towards secure quantum communication technologies”. The activity of Redinet CJSC will be aimed at achievement of communication integration and compensation of shortfalls of existing algorithms of synchronous and asynchronous encryption and ensuring simplification of the whole process by means of increasing productivity and reliability. This will enable the international telecommunication operators to utilize the additional resource of existing communication, which were being consumed on costs of protocol encryption, and decrease service tariffs while increasing communication quality. As one of the key factors we consider increase of trust to encryption technologies, which will help to create a common standard of confidential data transmission and will provide for a new instrument for development, e.g. for online banking.

Within the pilot project, Redinet CJSC will also focus on the dissemination and implantation of quantum communication technologies in Armenia ensuring the standardization and security of communication equipment.
